Eyes on Ukraine: Aequus Partners with Canadian Ophthalmological Society to Promote the Campaign in Canada & Help Raise Funds

The ongoing conflict brought on by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is an unconscionable tragedy. Millions of Ukrainian citizens have been displaced, and millions more have been left injured and in dire need of medical care while violence mounts on all fronts. It goes without saying that, amidst wartime brutality, eye injuries and other complex facial traumas abound.

When Aequus received word that the Canadian Ophthalmological Society (COS) was launching a campaign to provide direct support and front line treatment for Ukrainians, we knew we had to get involved. What is the Eyes on Ukraine Campaign? 

Eyes on Ukraine is an initiative established by the Canadian Ophthalmological Society to raise money for ophthalmic medical supplies and coordinate with Ukrainian ophthalmologists in providing front line treatment for eye injuries and surrounding sequelae. Sequelae refers to chronic conditions that arise as a consequence of prior injuries.

How is Aequus Partnering with COS To Provide Funds & Raise Awareness for Eyes on Ukraine?

As a partner of the Canadian Ophthalmological Society’s Eyes on Ukraine campaign, Aequus is supporting the initiative by contributing a corporate donation directly. We are confident this money will be able to provide the vital front line support needed to help Ukrainian ophthalmologists and visiting medics help the citizens of Ukraine.
